Excellent | Yes | Clean, organised, very friendly and helpful staff. A bit out of town which is good to stay away from gaijin riff raff. (Travel dates Mar 11, 2013 to Mar 18, 2013) | Peter (Australia) | 4
Very Good | Yes | Shizenkan is a great laid back backpackers that provides all you need and leaves you to it. The hostel is clean and tidy and the owner (based at the hotel next door) is always at hand if needed.
A great place to meet other people - especially if you need snowboard/ski buddies. Only criticism is that there could be a few more showers . Having said that, I only had to wait a few times.. (Travel dates Feb 25, 2013 to Mar 11, 2013) | Karen (United Kingdom) | 5

Very Good | Yes | It's not in the main part of Hirafu, it is about 15 minutes walk away from all the action. There is a free shuttle bus, but that means you have to wait for it, plus it stops running at 8.30pm. Other than that, everything was great.
